GOP Congressmen Accuse HHS Of Stalling On ACA Answers

Law360, New York (October 5, 2012, 6:09 PM EDT) -- The leaders of a House committee that oversees Medicare and Medicaid again pushed federal health officials to answer states' questions on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, accusing the administration Thursday of procrastinating and missing a Sept. 3 deadline.

Reps. Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Joe Pitts, R-Pa., the House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman and the chair of its health subcommittee, respectively, told the head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that a lack of answers is hurting the states.
