Ford, Others Sued Over Dashboard Computer Consoles

Law360, New York (October 9, 2012, 1:29 PM EDT) -- Patent holder Vehicle Interface Technologies LLC hit Ford Motor Co. and three other carmakers with separate infringement lawsuits Friday, accusing each company of ripping off its patent for computerized control panels.

In separate complaints filed in Delaware federal court, VIT claims Ford, Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC, Porsche Cars North America Inc. and Ferrari North America Inc. have been equipping their cars with touch-screen console displays that infringe its patented technology.
