Fed. Circ. Nixes Part Of Kingston Win In SanDisk Patent Row

Law360, New York (October 9, 2012, 3:44 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Tuesday reversed part of Kingston Technology Co. Inc.'s win in a patent infringement suit brought by SanDisk Corp., saying a lower court ruled in favor of Kingston based partly on incorrect patent claim constructions.

Kingston previously had been granted a judgment of noninfringement of certain aspects of SanDisk's U.S. Patent Numbers 6,763,424, 6,757,842 and 6,149,316, but the Federal Circuit said the district court made mistakes when it completed construction of some of the claims contained in those patents.
