Toro's $280M Aussie Uranium Project Gets Green Light

Law360, New York (October 10, 2012, 9:20 PM EDT) -- Western Australia's environment minister signed off Wednesday on Toro Energy Ltd.'s planned AU$280 million ($286 million) Wiluna project, one of two uranium mines Toro is developing in the Australian state.

The final environmental approval comes with several conditions, including protections for small invertebrates and plants that live within groundwater systems, as well as stipulations that Toro strengthen its plans for surface water flow and dust management, according to the Western Australia government.
