1st All-Gas Power Plant In Pa. Wins DEP Approval

Law360, Philadelphia (October 10, 2012, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania environmental regulators on Wednesday cleared a Moxie Energy LLC unit to start work on an $800 million power plant that officials say will be the state’s first to run entirely on natural gas, including gas extracted locally from the Marcellus Shale.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection issued an air quality plan on Wednesday allowing the Virginia-based Moxie Liberty LLC to move forward with the plant, which will be located in Asylum Township in north central Pennsylvania.
