Diocese In Abuse Scandal Files Malpractice Suit Over Ch. 11

Law360, New York (October 10, 2012, 10:45 PM EDT) -- The Catholic Diocese of Spokane has launched a malpractice suit in Washington state court accusing Paine Hamblen LLP and two partners of failing to protect the church from future claims after negotiating a $50 million settlement to settle civil sexual abuse claims in its bankruptcy, the firm said on Tuesday.
