Dewey Asks For Dissolution Of Ex-Partners Committee

Law360, New York (October 11, 2012, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP filed a motion Wednesday asking a New York bankruptcy judge to disband an official committee of former partners, saying a second committee is unnecessary and that it hasn't contributed productively to the case.

In an application submitted to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn two days after he approved a $71.5 million clawback deal with 400 ex-partners over the former partners committee's objection, Dewey says the committee is superfluous and is costing the estate money unnecessarily.
