Oshkosh Priced At $3B In Icahn Takeover Bid

Law360, New York (October 11, 2012, 2:40 PM EDT) -- Activist investor Carl Icahn on Thursday unveiled his plans to launch a tender offer for the piece of truck manufacturer Oshkosh Corp. that he doesn't already own in a deal that values the company at roughly $3 billion.

Under the terms of the deal, the billionaire investor would pay shareholders $32.50 per unit, a 21 percent premium over Wednesday's closing price. The proposed sale hinges on whether a slate of new Icahn-nominated directors is elected to Oshkosh's board, he said in a statement.
