Peregrine Shuts Down ITC Probe Of HTC Over Circuit Patents

Law360, New York (October 12, 2012, 2:32 PM EDT) -- HTC Corp. on Thursday escaped allegations its importation and sale of smartphones infringes a series of circuit patents held by Peregrine Semiconductor Corp., after Peregrine moved the U.S. International Trade Commission to close out its investigation of the matter.

In an unopposed motion for termination, Peregrine asked the ITC for permission to “withdraw its complaint in its entirety, thereby terminating this investigation as to all issues and all the named respondents,” which include HTC and its U.S. affiliate, as well as Motorola Mobility LLC and RF Micro Device Inc.
