Sigma, Oxford Win Claims Construction Battle

Law360 (October 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has handed life sciences company Sigma-Aldrich Corp. and gene therapy company Oxford BioMedica Ltd. a victory in their patent infringement battle with Open Biosystems Inc., adopting their proposed claims construction.

In a 46-page opinion issued Wednesday, Judge Charles A. Shaw of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri said “the constructions of the disputed terms and phrases proposed by plaintiff are correct.”
