Union Says Kellogg Didn't Honor Deal In Pa. Plant Closure

Law360, New York (October 16, 2012, 6:55 PM EDT) -- Teamsters Local 926 filed a suit on Monday challenging the decision of Kellogg Co. to close a distribution center in Pittsburgh, saying the company failed to properly review the union's job-saving proposal.

Kellogg announced the closure in February as part of a plan to transfer its operations at distribution centers in Pittsburgh and Akron, Ohio, to a new facility in Warren, Ohio. Local 926, which represents delivery drivers at the Pittsburgh center, asked the company to consider maintaining a satellite operation in Pittsburgh.
