Compromise Reached Over Mirapex Expert Witnesses

Law360 (October 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to appease both sides, the judge presiding over the product liability litigation involving restless leg drug Mirapex has opted to split the difference in a dispute over the number of expert witnesses that defendant Pfizer Inc. has the right to call.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Franklin Noel ruled that the pharmaceutical giant and the other co-defendants could collectively call 16 expert witnesses, up from the 11 that the plaintiffs had demanded but down from the 21 that the defendants had originally requested....
