DC Council's 'Personal' Emails Violate FOIA, Suit Says

Law360, New York (October 16, 2012, 5:33 PM EDT) -- A governmental transparency advocacy group sued the D.C. Council in Washington Tuesday, alleging that its denial of a Freedom of Information Act request to release work-related emails sent or received via council members’ personal email accounts poses a threat to government accountability.
