Ryanair Suggests EU Antitrust Fixes In €694M Aer Lingus Buy

Law360, New York (October 22, 2012, 12:32 PM EDT) -- Irish low-cost airline operator Ryanair Holdings PLC has proposed concessions to the European Commission attempting to allay antitrust concerns over the company's proposed €694 million ($906 million) takeover of Aer Lingus Group PLC, the watchdog said Monday.

With Ryanair's proposed commitments, submitted last week, the deadline for a commission investigation into the planned deal's effects on competition will be pushed back to Feb. 6, according to a notice posted on the regulator's website.
