Nordstrom Says Online Retailer Abuses 'Rack' Marks

Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 12:38 PM EDT) -- Nordstrom Inc. went after an online retailer Friday in Washington state, alleging that NoMoreRack Retail Group Inc. is co-opting trademarks connected with the brick-and-mortar department store chain's “Rack” shop locations.

Nordstrom claims NoMoreRack is infringing several of the larger company's well-known trademarks in order to boost its own brand while leeching off the success of Nordstrom Rack discount clothing stores.
