Pa. Court Revives Asbestos Claims Against Honeywell, Others

Law360, Philadelphia (October 23, 2012, 3:35 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Superior Court on Monday overturned a trial court's dismissal of a retired tradesman's asbestos claims against a range of companies, determining that he had presented the court with sufficient evidence of asbestos-related injuries.

The appeals court found that Karl Glaab, who worked for 45 years in the plumbing and heating trades, showed enough details connecting his medical condition to his asbestos exposure to trump the efforts of 15 defendants — which include Daimler Chrysler Corp., Georgia Pacific Corp. and Honeywell International Inc. — who...
