Pa. Judicial Board Claims Judge Veiled Contempt Charge

Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 9:56 PM EDT) -- A Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas judge misrepresented his credentials for election by failing to disclose negative legal and financial information to the bar association, including a contempt of court charge in a campaign finance dispute, the state Judicial Conduct Board claimed Tuesday.

The board hit Judge Thomas M. Nocella with formal misconduct charges for allegedly omitting material facts about his legal woes as part of the evaluation process that the Philadelphia Bar Association Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention conducts for judicial candidates....
