CPSC Head Won't Resign, Despite Calls From Dems

Law360, New York (October 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Consumer Product Safety Commission Acting Chairman Nancy Nord, who has come under fire for her opposition toward widening the agency's regulatory role after the recent spate of toy recalls, said on Wednesday that she would not resign from her post despite pressure from the Democratic party.

“At this point I have no intention of resigning. I'm doing my job, and part of my job is to talk with Congress about the tools and resources we need," Nord said in an interview at CBS' The Early Show....
