Elpida Patent Pledge OK'd Amid Discord Over Micron Sale

Law360, Wilmington (October 24, 2012, 5:47 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Wednesday cleared Elpida Memory Inc. to pledge more than 250 U.S. patents to back a supply pact with Apple Inc., but also vowed that he would not simply rubber stamp the planned $2.5 billion sale of the Japanese chipmaker to Micron Technology Inc.
