EIB Lends $214M For 2 Polish Rail Upgrade Projects

Law360, New York (October 24, 2012, 4:32 PM EDT) -- The European Investment Bank will provide loans totaling €450 million ($607.95 million) to Autostrade per l’Italia in two separate operations, the bank announced Friday.

The operations are intended to upgrade a stretch of  Italy's A1 motorway and support a large-scale safety investment, according to a statement released by the EIB.

€250 million ($337.75) will go towards the upgrading of the Firenze Nord-Barberino del Mugello Appenine stretch of the A1 motorway, and the other €200 million ($270.2 million) will support the 2011-2016 network safety improvement program of...
