Glaser Weil Guides OpenGate's Purchase Of Thermo Fisher Unit

Law360, Washington (October 25, 2012, 5:36 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm OpenGate Capital LLC has acquired Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.'s laboratory workstations business, the Los Angeles-based investment firm announced Wednesday.

According to the companies, the lab workstations unit garners $175 million in revenue annually and leads the industry in designing, manufacturing and installing laboratory furniture, fume hoods and epoxy resin tops. The products are sold under the Hamilton, Advanced Laboratory Concepts and Collegedale brand names, OpenGate said.

No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
