CollegeSource's IP, Contract Suit Against Rival Tossed

Law360, Philadelphia (October 29, 2012, 6:11 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge Thursday dismissed claims against college transfer service AcademyOne Inc. by rival CollegeSource Inc. over republishing course catalogs and course information digitized and maintained by the latter company, finding that the usage violated neither trademarks nor contracts governing AcademyOne's subscription service.

U.S. District Judge Mary McLaughlin found that CollegeSource failed to provide any evidence AcademyOne had acted improperly in obtaining the information and dismissed all seven remaining counts against the company.
