Lawmakers Demand More Details On Toy Recalls

Law360, New York (October 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives have asked toy makers RC2 Corp., Dollar General Merchandising Inc., GeoCentral and Claire's Stores Inc. to provide more specific and detailed information about how their lead-poisoned products reached the market and were later recalled.

Members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce wrote the three companies letters on Tuesday listing follow-up questions to information they provided just before a two-day hearing on lead contamination in September.
