Woodside, JBIC Sign Deal To Explore New Gas Projects

Law360, New York (October 30, 2012, 4:48 PM EDT) -- The Japan Bank for International Cooperation has signed a long-term memorandum of understanding with Woodside Petroleum Ltd., Australia's largest independent energy company, for a strategic partnership on liquefied natural gas projects, the companies said Monday.

The MOU calls for Woodside and JBIC to hold periodic strategic discussions about Woodside's future LNG developments. According to Woodside's releases, the JBIC may contribute financing for those projects and propose agreements between Japanese firms and Woodside for LNG ventures.
