Australia's AMP Lands Major Stake In UK Airport

Law360, New York (October 30, 2012, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm AMP Capital’s flagship Europe-focused fund has picked up a 49 percent interest in England’s Newcastle International Airport in a move that diversifies its European holdings, the Australian investor said Monday.

AMP did not say how much money it would need to take from the fund, known as the Strategic Infrastructure Trust of Europe, to cover the buy.
