Gazprom Pledges $38B For Gas Field, Asia-Pacific Pipeline

Law360, New York (October 30, 2012, 2:01 PM EDT) -- Russian energy giant OAO Gazprom will develop a gas field in East Siberia and build a pipeline to Vladivostok to ship gas to Asian markets, it said Tuesday, a project that will reportedly cost more than $38 billion.

The project calls for Gazprom to build a roughly 2,000-mile pipeline from Russia's fields in East Siberia, including the so-called East Siberian Chayanda deposit, to Vladivostok.
