AHM Hires Firm Over Trustee's Protests, Settles Suit

Law360, New York (November 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- American Home Mortgage Holdings Inc. fended off two challenges in its bankruptcy Wednesday, getting the go-ahead to hire Allen & Overy LLP as counsel despite protests from a U.S. trustee, and striking a deal with Bear Stearns Mortgage Corp. and EMC Mortgage Corp. to settle their adversary suit.
