Software Firm Sues AHA To Wipe Out Billing Copyrights

Law360, New York (October 30, 2012, 1:31 PM EDT) -- Medical software developer The SSI Group Inc. on Monday sued the American Hospital Association in hopes of invalidating the trade group's copyrights related to billing forms, saying intellectual property protections don't apply because the U.S. government no longer accepts other types of hard-copy claims.
