Industrial Cos. Sued Over Costs For RI Superfund Cleanup

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 8:37 PM EDT) -- The New England Container Co. filed a new lawsuit Tuesday in Rhode Island federal court, going after a number of industrial companies for their alleged share of the costs NECC paid to clean up contamination at the Centredale Manor Superfund site.

In the latest move in a long-running legal battle over cleanup costs, NECC filed a third-party complaint against the Cal Chemical Corp., the Eastern Resins Corp., Eastern Color & Chemical Co., Northeast Products Co., Tanner Industries Inc. and Woburn Steel Drum Inc., claiming the companies...
