Dewey Presses Judge To Disband Ex-Partners Committee

Law360, New York (October 30, 2012, 4:57 PM EDT) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP on Tuesday again pressed a New York bankruptcy judge to disband the official committee of former partners, arguing there is no justification for the “extraordinary remedy” of a second statutory committee in the case.

The bankrupt law firm claims the U.S. Trustee in the action has failed to explain why the former partners committee is necessary or appropriate, either when it was originally appointed or now.
