MSRB Seeks More Info On Muni Dealer Campaign Donations

Law360, New York (November 1, 2012, 2:46 PM EDT) -- The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board said on Wednesday it will seek the go-ahead from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to require municipal securities dealers and municipal finance professionals to provide more detailed information about contributions to bond ballot campaigns.

The MSRB also plans to ask the SEC to mandate that dealers and finance professionals disclose specific items of business they engage in that are related to such contributions.
