Medtronic Stents Infringe 2 Patents, Suit Alleges

Law360, New York (November 1, 2012, 3:20 PM EDT) -- Medical device giant Medtronic Inc. was hit with an infringement suit Thursday in Florida by a patent-holding entity that claims the company ripped off a pair of patents related to stent grafts used in vascular surgery.

Frisco, Texas-based Endotach LLC says Medtronic has been selling six different surgical devices used to undo blood vessel blockages, each of which infringe some part of the two stent patents.
