Philips Says Lighting Co. Violated LED Patents

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 3:32 PM EDT) -- Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV sued Aurora Lighting Inc. in Massachusetts federal court Friday, alleging infringement of a set of patents covering light-emitting diode technology.

Netherlands-based Philips and a Massachusetts affiliate, Philips Solid State Lighting Solutions Inc., contend a host of Aurora’s products infringe seven patents covering various inventions related to LED lighting technology.
