Asbestos Committee Can Join Garlock Personal Injury Case

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 5:49 PM EDT) -- A North Carolina bankruptcy judge on Friday gave the go-ahead for a committee of asbestos claimants to intervene in Garlock Sealing Technologies LLC's suit challenging a woman's $1.5 million Kentucky state court win against the company over her late husband's asbestos exposure.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge George R. Hodges granted the official committee of asbestos personal injury claimants' motion for leave from the court to apply to a Kentucky state court for an order allowing the committee to wade into Garlock's suit against Dolores Ann Robertson....
