Law360, New York (November 5, 2012, 5:49 PM EST) -- The South Carolina Supreme Court on Friday nixed a $652 million project to deepen a shipping channel in the Savannah River, ruling the state's Department of Health and Environmental Control acted illegally when it ignored its own staff's recommendation and improperly granted a Clean Water Act permit.
