Fired Patent Lawyer Loses Appeal Of Age Bias Claims

Law360, New York (November 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Saint-Gobain Corp. patent lawyer who was fired for allegedly sending “sexually tinged” poems to a co-worker lost a bid to overturn dismissal of his age discrimination and retaliation case.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit ruled on Friday that a Massachusetts federal court properly ruled for summary judgment against David Bennett. He was also denied attempts to offer evidence against the lower court's order.
