Oil, Gas Cos. Want More Endangered Species Info From FWS

Law360, New York (November 6, 2012, 6:22 PM EST) -- U.S. oil and gas producers on Monday urged the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to update the public on its court-ordered efforts to reach hundreds of Endangered Species Act determinations, citing concerns that new endangered species listings could harm future domestic oil and gas exploration production.

The Independent Petroleum Association of America says the FWS has not been transparent with respect to timing and plans for ESA listing decisions on hundreds of species that are candidates for endangerment protection, which stems from a September 2011 settlement...
