Dems Gain Majority On San Antonio Appellate Bench

Law360, Dallas (November 7, 2012, 9:17 PM EST) -- Three Democrats ousted incumbent Republican judges on Texas' Fourth Court of Appeals in Tuesday's election, setting up the potential for a more plaintiff-friendly appeals court in San Antonio, while most judges kept their seats across the state.

Two other Republican incumbents on the seven-seat Fourth Court of Appeals narrowly beat back challengers but now find themselves in the minority as the court is split 4-3 in favor of Democrats.
