Interior Dept. Seeks Tough Review Of Ore. LNG Project

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 9:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Wednesday called on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to scrutinize Oregon LNG's proposal to build a liquefied natural gas export terminal in Warrenton, Ore., saying it could threaten human health and the local environment.

In a letter to the FERC, the National Park Service said the company's Oregon Liquefied Natural Gas Project needed a thorough environmental review to gauge its impact on resources near a trail and park it manages.
