China Dings EU, Japan With Steel Tube Import Tariffs

Law360, New York (November 8, 2012, 3:35 PM EST) -- China will assess anti-dumping duties on steel tubes imported from the European Union and Japan upon determining that such merchandise has been dumped on the Chinese market to the detriment of the country's domestic tube makers, China's state-run news agency said on Thursday.

The Xinhua News Agency reported that China's Ministry of Commerce has announced the imposition of five-year anti-dumping duties on stainless steel tubes from the EU and Japan, saying that duties ranging from 9.2 percent to 14.4 percent would go into effect on Friday....
