Pa. DEP Head Fires New Salvo In Fracking Water Test Row

Law360, Philadelphia (November 9, 2012, 6:04 PM EST) -- The head of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection on Friday again blasted a state representative over allegations that the department had limited the metals for which it tested when sampling water supplies around gas drilling operations, claiming the misrepresentations undermined public confidence.

In the second letter he has sent to Rep. Jesse White, D-Allegheny, this week, DEP Secretary Michael Krancer told the legislator he had failed to grasp the agency's laboratory protocols and suggested his misapprehensions were willful.
