In-House Counsel Pay Is Up 2.6% From Last Year, Report Says

Law360, New York (November 14, 2012, 5:07 PM EST) -- In-house legal counsel saw their pay increase slightly over the past year, with overall compensation increasing an average of 2.6 percent at large companies, which is down from the 7.8 percent jump they enjoyed the previous year, according to a study released Wednesday.

HBR Consulting’s 2012 Law Department Survey, which measures in-house counsel pay from March 2011 to March 2012, found that 79 percent of companies who responded indicated compensation for in-house lawyers had increased modestly, 19 percent said it stayed flat and 2 percent reported...
