UK's Britvic Inks $2.2B Merger Deal With Rival AG Barr

Law360, New York (November 14, 2012, 2:41 PM EST) -- Major U.K. drink company Britvic PLC has agreed to a £1.4 billion ($2.2 billion) tie-up with its smaller rival A.G. Barr PLC that will spawn one of Europe's largest soft-drink companies amid an overall boom in beverage-sector deals, the pair said Wednesday.
