Kinder Morgan Plans For Tie-In To $1B Mexico Gas Pipeline

Law360, New York (November 14, 2012, 4:48 PM EST) -- Kinder Morgan Inc. has secured a 25-year deal to ship natural gas to Mexico via Sempra Energy’s planned $1 billion international pipeline network, which will require Kinder Morgan to build its own 60-mile conduit, the midstream energy giant announced Wednesday.

Under the precedent transportation agreement, Kinder Morgan's main oil and gas operating subsidiary, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP, will construct an approximately $200 million, 36-inch lateral pipeline to link its existing southern mainlines currently in operation near Tucson, Ariz., to a Sempra interconnect near Sasabe, Ariz.,...
