LA Plans To Shutter 10 Courthouses In Budget Crunch

Law360, New York (November 14, 2012, 7:42 PM EST) -- Ten courthouses in Los Angeles County are slated to close as part of a plan to cut between $56 million and $85 million from the state court system budget, the Consumer Attorneys of California said Wednesday.

In a meeting Wednesday with attorney groups, the California Administrative Office of the Courts unveiled a preliminary plan to close 10 courthouses, 12 criminal courtrooms, and various facilities that handle juvenile cases, family law and adoptions, the consumer attorney group said.
