Milbank Reps Lenders Backing $1.2B Bogota Airport Expansion

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 4:53 PM EST) -- A trio of development banks joined for the first time to finance a chunk of the $1.2 billion expansion slated for Bogota's main airport, pushing along one of Latin America's premier big-ticket infrastructure projects, the lenders' counsel announced Thursday.

Under the agreement, El Dorado International Airport's operator — Sociedad Concesionaria Operadora Aeroportuaria Internacional SA, better known as OPAIN — will receive $390 million in a multiyear deal from the Inter-American Development Bank, China Development Bank and Corporacion Andina de Fomento.
