Lawmakers Urge Pa. Gov. To Set Up Insurance Exchange

Law360, Philadelphia (November 15, 2012, 2:44 PM EST) -- In a pair of letters sent Wednesday and Thursday, Democratic state lawmakers urged Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett to start implementation of the federal Affordable Care Act by laying preliminary plans for the establishment of a state-operated health insurance exchange.

Led by Rep. Tony DeLuca, D-Pittsburgh, the Democratic members of the Pennsylvania House Insurance Committee urged Corbett to on Tuesday to begin working across the aisle to establish an insurance exchange and expand the state’s Medicaid program.
