SEC-CFTC Merger Pushed In Wake Of MF Global

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 3:14 PM EST) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission should consider merging as one regulatory agency after a failure in communication between the agencies contributed to the downfall of the broker-dealer MF Global Inc., a report released by House Republicans said on Thursday.
