EU Imposes Dumping Duties On Chinese Ceramics

Law360, New York (November 15, 2012, 7:13 PM EST) -- The European Commission imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware from China on Thursday, a move that opposition groups say is unwanted by many in the European Union.

The duties, which follow a nine-month EC investigation into allegedly cheap and harmful Chinese shipments, will range from 17.6 percent to 31.2 percent for Chinese companies that cooperated with the probe. The commission placed 58.8 percent duty on all other Chinese firms.
