Ford Targeted In Another Patent Suit Over Sync

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 12:17 PM EST) -- A New York patent holder hit Ford Motor Co. with an infringement suit in Delaware federal court Thursday, claiming the carmaker's Ford Sync dashboard computer is built with patented control panel technology.

Yonkers, N.Y.-based Joao Control & Monitoring Systems LLC says Ford's onboard computer, which is offered in an increasing number of the company's car models, contains features that infringe three patents for “control apparatuses for vehicle systems.”
